February's Birthstone, Amethyst
Amethyst is the Birthstone for February and the gemstone to give for a 6th Wedding anniversary. It is also associated with Valentine’s Day, St. Valentine, the patron saint of romantic love, supposedly wearing an amethyst ring carved with the image of Cupid.
